The Darkest Room
By Nigel Fairs

368 Theatre Company
The Marlborough Theatre, Brighton, 3 - 18 May 2002
Directed by Nigel Fairs

This was the third part that Nigel Fairs wrote for me (see Sauna and Unsex Me Here!) – and like the other two suited me perfectly. It’s a sort of ghost story, but also a time-shift play, with act two being thirty years after act one, and they are particularly ingeniously linked – Nigel has a knack for these things. In rehearsal I wasn’t convinced it would be scary, but I was wrong – and it is fantastic to make an entire audience scream!
